NEWS BRIEF

Wednesday's News Brief
Posted: July 2, 2008

Lorry drivers descend on London today in their second protest against fuel prices. They will make their way into Westminster via the A40 Westway ending with a lobby to Parliament at 11am.

We will have live coverage from our Skycopter from 9.30am onwards and our team of reporters on the ground will get reaction from the lorry drivers and ordinary commuters caught up in the inevitable chaos.

Our environment correspondent Catherine Jacob is deep in the Peru rainforest reporting on how deforestation is affecting the region and its potential impact on the world.  Watch her live from a village in the forest and read her articles on the Sky News website.

Middle East correspondent Dominic Waghorn is in Egypt for the African Union meeting for the latest on the Zimbabwe situation.

We will also report on discussions at the ICC meeting in Dubai which will decide whether Zimbabwe should be banned from international cricket.

And of course it's Murray-mania day as Britain's number one tennis player Andy Murray takes on Wimbledon number two seed Rafael Nadal.  Our sports presenter Jacqui Beltrou will be live through the day at Wimbledon in the build up to the game.
