
Darren Little
Midlands Correspondent Darren has covered wide-ranging stories from the truth about gold mining in Peru, uncovering abuses from the large and small scale operators, to securing an exclusive interview with the head of the notorious biker gang the Outlaws who were responsible for the murder of a Hells Angel on the M40.
Early in 2009, Darren spent time in Germany, France and Switzerland investigating problems facing Europe's car industry. He was also part of the team that covered the July 7 London bombings and has interviewed both Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. His career has also seen him report on the troubles at Rover, the Birmingham tornado and the Foot and Mouth crisis.
He was Senior Reporter for Central News in Birmingham from 2002 to 2005, and worked as a stand-in anchor for Central News West and East from 2004 to 2005. He was a bulletin reader at BBC Southern Counties Radio from 1997 to 1998.
Darren attended Noadswood Comprehensive School near Southampton before going on to read English at Exeter University. He then took a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University.
He is a motor-racing fanatic, a keen supporter of Coventry City FC and loves watching cricket. Darren is married with two daughters.
